1. PA 611
PA 611 or the Pennsylvania Route 611 is a road maintained by the Pennsylvania state. The total length of this road is 109.685 miles. It was commissioned on March 14, 1972. Pennsylvania Route 611 has 03 overlooks in the southern portion of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. In autumn you can catch a panoramic view of the deciduous forest of Delaware Gap painted in full fall colors.
2. E Shore Dr.
E Shore Dr. along Paupackan Lake is a short but sweet ride to witness the fall foliage in the Poconos. You can catch a magnificent view of the lake, sunset/sunrise and the fall foliage if you can plan your drive at the right time. E Shore Dr. also leads to Shuman Point Hiking Trail and Lake Wallenpaupack, which are also excellent spots for leaf peepers.
3. Upper Delaware Scenic Byway
Upper Delaware Scenic Byway was voted as the 2nd Best Scenic Autumn Drive in the U.S. This 70 mile route links the city of Port Jervis to the village of Hancock. The road parallels the National Park Service Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. It is a fun weekend drive especially for upstate New Yorkers during fall.
4. Rim Road at Big Pocono Park
The Rim Road at Big Pocono Park is a perfectly paved path to experience a spectacular Poconos fall foliage drive. The road leads to the summit of Camelback Mountains, where you can view the fall foliage of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York all at once.
The interstate 80 features a gorgeous fall foliage. If you want to partake in a beautiful fall drive in the Poconos, drive across the northern tier of Pennsylvania, or the mid‑section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike along the Interstate‑80.
6. Route 507
Route 507 heading into Pike County around Lake Wallenpaupack is considered as a must see scenic drive during fall. The US Route 507 offers a beautiful fall foliage, if you continue down this route into Green Town you can experience the scenery of the central color zone as well.
7. Route 209
The Route 209 heading towards east of the Delaware Water Gap will lead to many quaint cities and picturesque views of the Pocono Fall Foliage. 8. Route 6
The majestic Route 6; named as the “6th Top Scenic Routes in America”, will take you through the quaint historic towns around Lake Harmony. It was also named as “Pennsylvania’s Best Tour Road”. It offers breathtaking fall foliage views while driving through Honesdale, Hawley and Milford.
9. Route 402
PA Route 402 passes through the Delaware State Forest in Pike and Northern Monroe counties. It is an excellent fall foliage drive experience as it passes through Honesdale and Hawley. The route branches off southwards into the heart of the Delaware State Forest.
10. Route 390
If you want to experience the fall foliage the ‘old school style’ Route 309 is the route to take. It takes you through Lake Wallenpaupack and Promise Land State Park. The route features stunning shades of the M.O.B (maple, oak and beech) trees. There are also several eateries and cafes enroute.
